When you add someone to a building, their permissions are now created automatically with your building's normal defaults. You do not need to open their user and save anything first.
Previously, some people had no permission record at all. They could use the app normally, because the app treats a missing record as full access, but Hero treated it as no access. That is why someone could appear completely unrestricted and still be told by Hero that an area was off limits to them.
Every affected person has been corrected, and it cannot happen to new people.
Nothing about restricting access has changed. Open the user in Settings, switch off what they should not have, and save. If that person is later re-added to the building, or invited again, their restrictions stay exactly as you set them.
Check their permissions for that building under Settings. Hero follows those switches, so if an area is off there, Hero will decline it and say so.
