URBI Command Palette: Complete Guide

Introduction

The Command Palette is your fastest path to navigate, create, and search anywhere in URBI. Press ⌘K on Mac or Ctrl+K on Windows/Linux to access a unified search and command interface that brings the entire system to your fingertips.

How to Open the Command Palette

Use the keyboard shortcut to instantly open the palette:

• Mac: ⌘K

• Windows/Linux: Ctrl+K

When you first open it, you'll see four guide cards showing the available modes:

Start typing to filter through available commands and navigation destinations. Two main categories appear:

Navigation Destinations

Navigation: Use arrow keys to move through results, then press Enter to select.

Mode 2: Search (# prefix)

Type # followed by your query to search across your entire property database. The search covers all entity types in a two-phase process:

Two-Phase Search Algorithm

1. Fast Fuzzy Matching: Instantly finds exact and similar matches across key fields (names, IDs, titles)

2. AI-Powered Deep Search: Uses advanced AI to find related records across connected data tables

This hybrid approach gives you both speed and depth, finding exactly what you need even if you're not sure of the exact terminology.
