Only staff and board members who have permission to create users can invite people to a building. This permission is now checked when an invitation is sent. If it has been switched off for someone, they cannot send the invitation.
This change does not affect residents being added to a building. It helps make sure invitations are only sent by people the building has approved to do so.
The invitation also decides what happens when the person signs up. The invitation link sets the building they join, their role, and any home they are connected to. The signup form cannot change those details.
If the link is missing its code, has the wrong code, or the invitation was cancelled, the signup is refused before an account is created. Send a new invitation if the person needs a new link.
Company administrators can assign a manager only to a building their company manages, and only to someone who belongs to that company. They also need permission to create users.
