If an invitation cannot be sent, the message explains what needs attention. Check the message, then use the matching section below.

You do not have permission to invite people to this property

This means you do not currently have permission to create users for that building. Ask a building administrator to review your permissions in Settings. They can switch the permission on if you need to send invitations.

You do not have permission to invite people into this company

This means you cannot invite someone on behalf of that company. Check that you belong to the company and that your permission to create users is switched on. A company administrator can update your access if needed.

Unit not found

This means the selected home could not be used for this invitation. It can also mean the home belongs to a different building. Check that you selected a home from the same building as the invitation.

This is how the message appears above the invitation list.

Invite people
Unit not found
Choose a home that belongs to this building, then try again.

The invitation is still processing

This means we are still finishing the invitation. Check that the person has the right email address, building, role, and home, then give it a moment before checking the invitation list again. If it does not finish, ask an administrator to review the invitation and send a new one if needed.

Welcome email

When a person is invited to several buildings at once, they normally receive one welcome email. If one invitation is still processing when we stop waiting, a later invitation may also send a welcome email. The person can occasionally receive two, so they are not left without one.
