Property staff can update whether a resident receives SMS notifications from URBI. This is useful when a resident asks you to turn SMS alerts on or off on their behalf.
Who can do this: Staff, board members, and property managers with resident edit permissions on the property.
From the main navigation, go to Units.
Click the unit the resident lives in to open the unit detail page.
Click the Community tab at the top of the unit detail page.
In the community members list, click the resident's name to open the Community Member modal.
Scroll down to the Accessibility Options section inside the modal.
Find the SMS Notifications toggle. Toggle it on or off to reflect the resident's preference.
Click Save to apply the change.
Note: If you close the modal before saving, you will see a warning: "You have unsaved changes. Discard?" Click Discard to exit without saving, or go back and click Save to keep your changes.
If you are editing an invited resident who has not yet completed sign-up, the SMS Notifications toggle will not appear in the Community Member modal. The resident will set their SMS preference themselves when they complete onboarding. You can edit it later, once they have an active URBI account.
