On this page

  • "You no longer have permission to edit this member"
  • Resident's Confirm button is stuck disabled on the final onboarding step
  • The SMS Notifications toggle is missing from the Community Member modal

"You no longer have permission to edit this member"

What you see: After clicking Save in the Community Member modal, a message appears: "You no longer have permission to edit this member. Refresh and try again."

What it means: Your account does not have resident edit permission for this property, or your permissions changed while the modal was open. This is a security control — only staff with the correct permissions can update resident profiles.

How to fix it: 1. Close the modal. 2. Ask your property administrator to confirm that your account has resident edit permission enabled for this property. 3. Once permissions are updated, refresh the page and try again.

If the error persists after your permissions are confirmed, contact URBI support with the resident's name and the property name.

Resident's Confirm button is stuck disabled on the final onboarding step

What you see: A resident reports that they cannot complete onboarding — the Confirm / Complete Onboarding button is grayed out.

What it means: The required Privacy Policy + Terms & Conditions toggle is OFF. The SMS toggle does not affect this button; only the first (required) toggle does.

How to fix it: Ask the resident to scroll to the consent section on the final step and turn ON the first toggle ("I accept the Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions"). They can leave the SMS toggle in any state.

The SMS Notifications toggle is missing from the Community Member modal

What you see: You opened a resident's profile expecting to see the SMS Notifications toggle, but only the email preference toggle is visible.

What it means: This resident has not yet completed onboarding. They are still in the INVITE state. SMS consent is captured by the resident themselves during onboarding; staff can edit it once the resident has an active URBI account.

How to fix it: Wait for the resident to complete their sign-up. Once they have an active account, the SMS toggle will appear in their Accessibility Options.
