URBI now captures residents' SMS notification consent during onboarding and gives property staff a way to update that preference on their behalf. Two iOS-style toggle switches replace the old checkboxes on the final onboarding screen: a required toggle combining Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions acceptance, and an optional SMS opt-in toggle. Staff can also update a resident's SMS preference at any time through the Community Member modal.
Who can use this: Property staff, board members, and property managers with resident edit permissions.
Where to find it: - Onboarding: The new toggles appear on the final step of the resident onboarding flow (the "Accept" screen). - Staff web app: Units → Unit detail → Community tab → click a community member → Accessibility Options section. - Resident mobile app: Profile → Preferences → SMS Notifications.
Important note: This release captures the consent only — URBI is not sending SMS messages yet. When the SMS channel is activated in a future release, only residents who have opted in (the default) will receive emergency and time-sensitive notifications.
