The Units screen now shows you what each unit owes, and lets you narrow the list by almost anything you know about a unit.

What you owe money is now on the card

Every unit card shows a Balance line, just above Service Tickets.

  • Owing and overdue shows the amount in red, with how long it has been overdue underneath.
  • Owing but not yet due shows the amount in your normal text colour.
  • Nothing owed says Account current. It does not show a zero, because a settled account and a balance of zero are different things and we do not want you reading one as the other.
  • In credit shows the credit amount in green.
  • No billing account says so plainly, rather than showing a figure.

Who sees this. Balances appear only if your property has accounting turned on AND you hold the accounting dashboard permission. If you do not, your Units screen looks exactly as it did before, with no gap where the balance would have been.

If balances cannot load, a message appears above the list saying so and confirming the rest of the page is still up to date. Your units stay on screen. You can try again or dismiss it.

The search bar

The search box at the top of the Units screen now filters as well as searches.

Start typing and it offers you filters. There are two shortcuts worth learning:

  • Type @ to jump straight to searching people in the property.
  • Type # to jump straight to unit numbers.

You can also type a filter's name followed by a colon, for example status: then pick a value.

Each filter you apply becomes a chip. Remove a chip to remove just that filter. Filters combine: two different filters narrow the list further, while two values on the same filter widen it (a unit matching either one will show).

What you can filter by. Money and accounting, residents, registrations (vehicles, pets, parking, fobs, storage), activity (service tickets, amenity bookings, packages, expected visitors), and the unit itself (status, floor, unit number). The money filters only appear if you are allowed to see money.

If a money filter cannot be applied, the list does not change and a message says so. It will not quietly show you an unfiltered list.

The tiles are filters too

The row of tiles above the list is not just a summary. Click any tile to filter the list by it.

  • Registered shows how many units have someone with an URBI account.
  • Occupied, Rented, and Open tickets each filter to exactly that.
  • Past due shows the total owed and how many units are in arrears, and filters to those units.

A pressed tile is highlighted and its chip appears in the search bar. Click it again to un-press it. Pressing a second tile narrows further rather than replacing the first. Clicking a tile showing zero is allowed: you will get an empty list, which is a real answer.

On your phone

Everything above works the same way on a phone. The tiles become a row you swipe, and the search and filters open from the same box. The wording and the results are identical to the desktop.

A note on the words we use

If your property calls its units something else, so do these filters. A school sees classrooms, a commercial property sees suites, and the filter names follow.
