Learn how to create a new board decision in URBI Kore with title, description, category, and supporting documents.

Board decisions in URBI Kore allow property managers and board administrators to create formal motions that board members can review, discuss, and vote on.
Only users with the Board Admin or Property Manager role can create new board decisions. If you do not see the "New Decision" button, contact your property administrator to verify your permissions.
From the left sidebar, click Board Decisions to open the decisions dashboard.
Click the New Decision button in the top right corner. This opens the Create Decision modal.
Required fields:
Title: A clear name for the motion (e.g., "Approve 2026 Reserve Fund Budget")
Description: Detailed explanation of what is being decided with relevant context
Category: Select from Financial, Operational, Policy, Maintenance, or Other
Optional fields:
Project: Link the decision to an existing project
Supporting Documents: Upload files (PDF, DOCX, XLSX, images) for board review
Drag and drop files or click the upload area. Supported formats: PDF, DOCX, XLSX, and images. Max 10 MB per file.
Click Create Decision. The decision appears with Open status and all board members are notified automatically.
All verified board members receive a notification with the decision title, category, and a direct link to vote. The system tracks votes and calculates majority automatically using the formula: floor(total_board_members / 2) + 1.
Open: Active and accepting votes
Deferred: Paused for further discussion
Closed: Voting complete with final result recorded
Write clear titles describing exactly what is being voted on
Include all relevant background in the description
Upload supporting documents like quotes, reports, or proposals
Choose the right category for filtering and reporting
