FAQ on news email replies: scheduled articles, updates, thread visibility, resident behaviour, and multi resident replies.

Does this work for scheduled news articles?
Yes. Scheduled articles are sent by the same email pipeline as immediate articles. When a scheduled article goes out, it carries the same reply address. Any resident who replies will have their message appear in your inbox exactly as described.
What about news updates and addendums? Do those create a separate thread?
No. When a resident replies to a news update email (an addendum to an existing article), their reply threads into the same "Re: [article title]" conversation that was already open for that article. Everything stays in one thread per resident per article, regardless of how many update emails were sent.
Who can see the reply thread?
The conversation is between the resident who replied and the article's author. Only the author is added to the thread as a staff participant. Other staff members are not automatically included. If you need to involve a colleague, you would handle that through your normal team coordination — there is no built-in way to add additional staff to the thread at this time.
Do residents need to do anything differently to use this?
No. Residents just hit Reply in their email client as they normally would. The routing happens automatically on URBI's side.
What if two different residents both reply to the same article?
Each resident gets their own separate thread. You will see two distinct "Re: [article title]" conversations in your inbox — one per resident. Replies from different residents are never mixed together.
