Event categories (such as Social, Fitness, or Maintenance) can now be updated directly from the event edit drawer without deleting and recreating the event.

Before you start

You need edit access to the property's events. The event must already exist.

Steps

  1. Go to Bookings → Events in the left navigation.

  2. Click on the event you want to update. The event edit drawer opens.

  3. Click the Details tab at the top of the drawer.

  4. Locate the Category field. Click the dropdown to open it.

  5. Type to search for a category, or scroll to find the one you want. Select it.

  6. Click Save at the bottom of the drawer.

The event category is updated immediately. Attendees are not notified of a category change.

Notes

  • The Maintenance category has special behavior — see the Maintenance Event Type article for details.

  • Changing category does not affect existing tickets or RSVPs.
