Follow these steps to email a payment receipt to an attendee from an event.
Open the event. From the Events list (under Bookings or your property's Events section), find the event and click to open the event drawer.
Go to the Attendees tab. Inside the drawer, select the Attendees tab. You will see the list of attendees and their order details.
Click "Send receipt" on the paid order row. The button appears inline in each row's action area, beside the Copy link, Remind, and Manage buttons, when the order has a completed payment. If the button is not visible, see "When the button does not appear" below.
Done. The button briefly shows "Sending…" then a "Sent" tick, and a success toast confirms the receipt was emailed. The attendee will receive a branded email with the itemized PDF receipt attached.
No confirmation dialog will appear, clicking "Send receipt" sends the email immediately. The button reverts after sending so you can send again if needed.
If the attendee's order has been partially refunded, the receipt sent to the attendee shows three lines:
The original charge amount
A Refunded line with the amount returned
The net total (amount the attendee effectively paid)
The "Send receipt" button still appears on partially-refunded orders. No extra steps are needed, the partial-refund layout is applied automatically.
The Send receipt button is hidden in the following cases:
Situation | Reason |
Registration is free or unpaid | No settled payment to receipt |
Order status is Cancelled | Cancelled orders have no receipt to send |
Order is fully refunded (net $0) | Fully refunded orders have no payment to document |
You do not have event edit permission on this property | Insufficient permissions, contact your administrator |
The drawer is in read-only mode | Read-only mode disables all write actions |
If you believe the button should be visible but is not, confirm the order has a completed payment and check your permission level with your property administrator.
The receipt email includes:
Your property's name and logo in the header
A "Paid" status indicator
The event name, date and time, and the unit associated with the registration
An itemized ticket breakdown and total amount paid
The date the payment was processed
A receipt number in the format URB-EVT-XXXXXXXX (not a Stripe payment ID)
A note that the PDF is attached
The itemized PDF receipt as an email attachment
