The Maintenance event type is designed for scheduled building work, system downtime, or any planned disruption that residents need to be aware of but cannot sign up for.

Residents can see Maintenance events in their event feed as an informational item. The RSVP button does not appear, and Arthur (the resident-facing AI assistant) will explain that this type of event is not open for sign-up if asked.
Maintenance events are labeled with a Maintenance badge in the events list view, making them easy to distinguish from social or community events.
Go to Bookings → Events and click Add Event (or + on mobile).
In the Type field, select Maintenance.
The Tickets and Policies steps are skipped automatically — they are not applicable to maintenance events.
Complete the remaining steps (title, date/time, location, groups, review) and publish.
When sending a notification for a Maintenance event, only the All community members audience option is available — there are no ticket holders to target.
Existing events cannot be converted to or from the Maintenance type by changing the category alone — create a new event if the type needs to change.
The Maintenance type is permanent — it cannot be deleted or renamed from within the app.
