  • 2. Set closures / blackout dates
  • 3. Filter and monitor by status
  • 4. Delete an amenity

Amenities can be marked active, inactive, or under maintenance, closed for specific dates, or permanently deleted.

Who can use it: Status changes and closures require amenities_update. Deleting an amenity requires amenities_delete.

1. Change the amenity status

Open the amenity and start the status change wizard. Choose active, inactive, or maintenance. If the amenity has existing bookings, the wizard prompts you to decide how to handle them before the status change is applied.

Status change wizard with a decision prompt:

Change Status: Maintenance
This amenity has upcoming bookings. What should happen to them?
○ Keep existing bookings as-is
○ Cancel affected bookings

2. Set closures / blackout dates

Use the closures option to block off specific dates. Closures (blackout dates) prevent new bookings on those days without changing the amenity's overall status.

3. Filter and monitor by status

Use the Amenities directory status filter (active/inactive/maintenance) to see which amenities need attention.

4. Delete an amenity

Open the amenity, go to the Advanced tab, and find the Danger Zone. Deleting is permanent and requires amenities_delete.

Type the amenity's exact name to confirm. The Delete button stays disabled until the typed text matches.

Danger Zone delete with type-to-confirm:

Danger Zone
Type "Rooftop Lounge" to confirm deletion. This cannot be undone.
Rooftop Lounge
Delete Amenity

Click Delete Amenity. The amenity is permanently removed from the directory.

See "How to edit amenity settings" for other Advanced tab options like QR codes and check-in.
