Confirming a package tells URBI it has been received and is waiting for collection, and sends the recipient their notification.

Who can do this: Anyone with permission to manage packages at that property.

Where to find it: Packages → the review queue. You can confirm one package at a time, or use Confirm All to do the whole queue at once.

Confirm All does not always confirm everything

Confirm All confirms every package that is ready. Any package that is not ready is refused, and this is normal rather than a fault: it means URBI will not record a handover it cannot stand behind.

A refused package stays in the queue with a note saying why. The packages that succeeded leave the queue as usual, and the message afterwards tells you how many were confirmed and how many were refused.

Common reasons a package is refused

  • The recipient still needs to be confirmed. URBI matched the name on the label but is not certain. See "When a scanned package needs a look".
  • The person is not on that home. The recipient was chosen or matched, but they are no longer linked to that home, so the package cannot be addressed to them there.
  • The home is missing. The label did not give URBI enough to identify which home it belongs to.

Fix it and confirm again

Once you have corrected whatever the note describes, confirm the package again. It will go through normally. You do not need to discard and rescan it.

If you press Confirm and nothing appears to happen for a moment, the confirmation is still running in the background. URBI will tell you when it finishes rather than leaving you guessing, and you do not need to press it again.

Discarding a package

Discard removes a scanned package that should not have been recorded at all, for example a duplicate scan. If you do not have permission to discard packages at that property, URBI now tells you so rather than appearing to do nothing.
