Overview

Recurring tasks automate repetitive work in URBI Kore. Set up a schedule once and the system generates new tasks automatically, so nothing slips through the cracks.

Two Recurrence Modes

  • On Schedule: Tasks are created on a fixed calendar schedule (e.g., every Monday, the 1st of each month)

  • After Completion: The next task is only created after the current one is marked complete (e.g., 7 days after finishing)

Setting Up On Schedule Recurrence

Step 1: Open the Task

Create a new task or open an existing one. In the detail drawer, find the Recurring section in the sidebar.

Step 2: Select On Schedule

Choose On Schedule from the dropdown.

Step 3: Choose a Frequency

  • Daily: Every N days

  • Weekly: Every N weeks on selected days (S, M, T, W, T, F, S buttons)

  • Monthly: Every N months on a specific day (1 through 31)

  • Yearly: Every N years on a specific month and day

  • Custom: Any interval in days, weeks, months, or years

Step 4: Set an End Condition

  • Never: Repeats indefinitely

  • After N occurrences: Stops after a set number

  • On date: Stops on a specific date

Step 5: Save

Click Save Recurrence. A recurring icon appears on the task card.

Setting Up After Completion

Choose After Completion, set the delay (e.g., "7 days after completion"), and save. The next task only appears after the current one is done.

How Recurring Tasks Appear

Upcoming tasks show as "ghost" entries in your calendar before they are formally created. Once the date arrives, the task is generated with the same title, description, assignee, and settings.

Stopping a Recurrence

Open the task, go to Recurring, and click Stop Recurrence.

Common Examples

  • Weekly team check-in: On Schedule, weekly on Monday

  • Monthly report review: On Schedule, monthly on the 1st

  • Quarterly board prep: On Schedule, every 3 months

  • Follow-up after inspection: After Completion, 14 days later

  • Annual insurance renewal: On Schedule, yearly
