  • Talking someone through it

Recipients do not need a Kore login, an app, or a password. They receive a notification containing a private link, and everything happens on that one page.

The page

At the top they see your property's name and logo, the property address, and their unit. Below that is a card with the access details you wrote and the scheduled date and time window.

The answers available

For a Mandatory notice there is a single button, Acknowledge Notice, which confirms they understand access will be granted at the scheduled time.

For a Request there are two or three:

  • Approve Access, yes, approved for the scheduled date.
  • Deny Access, no, not approved.
  • Request Different Date, shown only when the sender allowed rescheduling. Choosing it opens a date picker so they can propose an alternative, which then needs your approval.

They can add a note with their answer, which is worth encouraging: "the dog is home, please knock loudly" saves a wasted visit.

Changing an answer

An answer is not final. If they open the link again, the page shows what they previously said, along with the date they said it, and tells them they can select any option to update it. The most recent answer is the one your team sees.

When the page stops accepting answers

Once the scheduled access time has passed, the page locks and explains that the scheduled access time has already occurred and no further response is possible. Before that moment, the link stays usable.

There is no separate response deadline today. If a recipient tells you their link expired, what they have almost certainly hit is the scheduled time passing.

Talking someone through it

The most common confusions, and what to say:

  • "I do not see a way to say no." They received a Mandatory notice. Explain that entry is required and why, and that acknowledging is confirming they have seen it, not agreeing to anything they could have declined.
  • "I want a different day but there is no button." Rescheduling was not enabled for that request. They can deny and add a note, and you can arrange a new date directly, or you can send a fresh request with rescheduling turned on.
  • "I already answered but I changed my mind." Send them back to the same link and have them pick the new option.
