  • Step 1: Select the amenity
  • Step 2: Enter booking details
  • Step 3: Confirm and choose payment

Staff can book an amenity on a resident's behalf directly from the dashboard, useful for phone requests, front-desk walk-ins, or fixing a resident's own booking issue.

Who can use it: Requires amenity_bookings_create permission.

Step 1: Select the amenity

Open Bookings and click "New Amenity Booking." From /bookings/amenity-bookings, click the New Amenity Booking button, then choose which amenity you're booking.

Step 2: Enter booking details

Choose the resident, date, and time. Select the resident/unit, pick a date, and, if the amenity allows multi-day bookings, an end date for a multi-day reservation. Set the start/end time and number of occupants.

Step 2 with a multi-day range selected:

Booking Details
Resident / Unit
J. Alvarez, Unit 302
Start Date
Aug 3
End Date
Aug 5

Review rule-violation warnings, if any. If the booking breaks a rule, like exceeding the resident's max active bookings, booking under the minimum-notice window, or exceeding an annual limit, the modal shows a warning instead of blocking you outright. You can override the violation with acknowledgment and continue.

A rule-violation warning that can be overridden:

Rule violation
This resident has reached their max active bookings for this amenity.
Override and continue

Step 3: Confirm and choose payment

Review the pricing summary. This shows the line-item charges and a deposit-timing chip indicating whether the deposit is charged immediately or deferred (collected closer to the start date, sent as a link).

Pick a Payment Method:

  • Card (Stripe), charges the resident's card on file through Stripe.
  • Manual, for cash, check, or other outside payment. Requires you to select a payment method from a dropdown and lets you add an optional reference (e.g. a check number).
  • Void, books the reservation without charging anything.

Toggle "Skip vendor notification," if shown. This option appears only when the amenity has vendor notification rules configured; switch it on if you don't want the vendor/service provider notified of this booking.

The payment method selector:

Payment Method
Card Manual Void
Deposit: Deferred, link sent 24h before start

Click Confirm to finish the booking. See "How to edit a booking" to make changes afterward, or "How to manage security deposits" for deposit follow-up.
