  • Market always stays dark

The URBI app can match your phone's light or dark appearance, or you can set it to always use one or the other. This article explains where to change it and what each choice does.

Who this is for: Residents signed in to the URBI app.

Change your appearance setting

  1. Open your profile.
  2. Tap your profile bubble at the top.
  3. Under Preferences, find Appearance.
  4. Tap Light, Dark, or System.

Your choice applies right away across the app, including Home, Amenities, Messages, Profile, News, notifications, and booking screens.

What each option does

  • Light: The app always uses light colours, no matter what your phone is set to.
  • Dark: The app always uses dark colours, no matter what your phone is set to.
  • System: The app matches your phone's current appearance setting. This is the default. If your phone switches between light and dark automatically, the app switches with it.

This setting is per device

Your appearance choice is saved on the device you set it on. It does not sync to your other devices, and it has no effect on what other residents see. If you use URBI on more than one phone or tablet, set the appearance separately on each one.

Market always stays dark

Market keeps a dark appearance at all times, regardless of your Appearance setting. This is by design, not a bug: the marketplace section always uses the same dark look for everyone.

See Managing your profile and notifications for the rest of the Preferences section.
