This article walks you through reserving an amenity, choosing an available time, reviewing any price, and confirming your booking.
Who this is for: residents using the URBI app. You need to be registered to your building and the amenity must be available for your residency type.
Open Amenities and tap the amenity you want. Check its Type, Hours, Capacity, Description, and Policies.
If it says "Drop In Only," there is no booking button because a booking is not needed. If it is bookable, tap "Book Amenity."
If the button reads "Booking Unavailable," the amenity is closed, under maintenance, or restricted for your residency type.
Choose a date in the calendar, then select your time.
Availability is tracked in 30 minute increments and includes a buffer after each booking for servicing, so a slot may be unselectable even though the previous booking has ended. Multi day ranges are capped at the amenity's maximum continuous booking length.
If you tap a day that is not available, the app explains why, for example "Not available - overlaps an existing booking." or "...exceeds the Xh max booking length." There is no way to override this from the app.
The app also shows the amenity's booking rules. If your selection breaks a rule, or overlaps an existing booking, change the date or time before you continue.
After you choose a date and time, review the pricing summary. It can include required charges and optional items. You can choose optional items, and adjust the quantity where the app provides plus and minus controls.
If the total is $0, no card is needed. If payment is required, choose a saved payment method or tap "Add Credit Card" or "Add Another Card."
The price summary may include a deposit. The app states that deposits are held temporarily and refunded after the booking if no damages occur.
For some bookings, the app offers "Pay deposit now."
Only rely on the amount and due date shown in your own booking screen, because they can differ by amenity and booking time.
Complete the confirmation control at the bottom of the screen. For a paid booking, the control shows the amount to pay. For a booking with nothing due today, it asks you to confirm the booking.
You can pay with a saved card, a new card, or Apple Pay and Google Pay. Paid bookings run through Stripe, including 3-D Secure verification where your bank requires it.
Availability is checked one last time just before payment is confirmed. If someone booked the slot first, you will see "This time slot was just booked by another resident. Please select a different time."
If payment does not go through, or you back out, any pending charge is rolled back automatically and you are not charged.
When the booking succeeds, URBI shows a confirmation. You can add the booking to your calendar. For a paid booking, the confirmation can also offer a receipt download. If a deposit was deferred, the confirmation shows its due date and may offer "Pay deposit early."
If the app cannot register the booking immediately after payment, it retries and shows "Payment Received... we're finalizing" rather than a false success or failure.
If payment is still due later, open the booking from your order details and use "Complete Payment." Contact building management if you need help with the booking rules or availability.
