Your resident portal is where you can view your charges and invoices, make payments, see property news, and manage your account, all in one place. This article walks through how you get access and how signing in works.

How you get access

You don't sign up for the portal yourself. Your property's management team adds you as an owner, resident, or tenant on your home (the label may differ depending on your community, for example unit, suite, or lot), using the email address they have on file for you.

Once that's done, you can sign in with that same email address at any time, no invitation link or account setup required.

Important: only people your property has associated with a specific home can access that home's information. If your email isn't linked to a home yet, or you're using a different email than the one on file, you won't be able to see anything until that's corrected. See Password and sign-in help for what to do in that case.

If you're associated with more than one property or home under the same email, all of them appear together in your portal once you sign in. You'll see a note like "You have access to accounts across 2 properties" on your Profile tab when this applies to you.

How your identity is confirmed

The portal doesn't use a traditional username and password. Instead, it confirms who you are using your name and email address on file with your property, plus a one-time code sent to that email each time you sign in. There's nothing to remember or reset, and nothing stored on your device that could be guessed or reused by someone else.

Signing in, step by step

  1. Go to your property's resident portal link (usually shared with you by your property management team, or bookmark it after your first visit).

  2. On the Welcome screen, enter your email address and select Continue.

  3. Within a moment, check your inbox for an email from URBI with the subject "Your URBI payment portal access code", sent from noreply@myurbi.co. It contains an 8-digit code.

  4. On the Verification screen, enter the 8-digit code. Select Verify & Sign In.

  5. You're in. The portal loads your accounts, charges, invoices, and (if enabled for your property) news.

Note: for privacy, the portal never tells you whether an email address is recognized before you request a code. If the address isn't linked to any property, you simply won't receive an email. See Password and sign-in help if that happens to you.

Your one-time code

  • Each code is 8 digits and is only valid for 10 minutes.

  • You get up to 5 attempts to enter a code correctly before it locks and you need to request a new one.

  • If you don't see the email, use the Resend code option on the Verification screen. There's a limit on how many codes can be requested for the same email in a short period, to keep your account safe.

How your session works

Once you're signed in, you stay signed in for up to 2 hours of portal use, so you don't have to enter a new code every time you click something. Your session is tied to the browser tab or window you're using: if you close it, you'll need a fresh code the next time you return. There's no "remember me" option, this is by design, so a shared or borrowed device never stays signed in to your account.

When your session is about to run out, the portal automatically signs you out and brings you back to the Welcome screen, where you can request a new code and pick up right where you left off.

What this means for you

  • You never create or manage a password for the portal. Access always starts with the email your property has on file for you.

  • If your email changes, or you get a new unit, contact your property's management team so they can update who's associated with your home. The portal reflects whatever your property has on record.

  • Because access is tied to your specific home, someone else (a former resident, a different unit's occupant) can never see your account, and you can't accidentally see theirs.

FAQ

Do I need to create an account or set a password? No. There's no password. You sign in with your email and a one-time code every time.

Can I stay signed in permanently, like on my phone's browser? No. Sessions last up to 2 hours and end when you close the browser tab, for your security. You'll simply request a fresh code the next time you visit.

I manage more than one property. Do I need separate logins? No. If the same email address is associated with multiple properties or homes, they all show up together after you sign in once.

Someone else lives in my unit too. Can they access my portal? Only if your property has added their own email as an occupant on the home. Each person signs in with their own email and gets their own session; access isn't shared through one login.

I used to live at this property but moved out. Can I still sign in? Once your property removes you as an occupant, your old email will no longer have access. Contact your former property manager if you believe this was done in error.
