  • FAQ

The Profile tab is where you can confirm your account details and manage automatic payments. This article walks through what's there and why it's worth keeping current.

Your Information

At the top of the Profile tab, you'll see:

  • Your name, taken from what your property has on file for you. If no name is on file, the portal builds one from your email address (for example, jane.smith@example.com displays as "Jane Smith") so you always see something recognizable.

  • Your photo, if one is on file, shown as your avatar. Otherwise you'll see your initials.

  • Your email address, the one you sign in with.

If you're associated with more than one property or home, you'll also see a note like "You have access to accounts across 2 properties" here, confirming everything under this login is really you.

You can't edit your name, email, or photo directly in the portal today. This information comes from your property's records, so if anything is out of date, contact your property's management team (or hello@myurbi.co) and ask them to update it on their end. The change will show up in your portal automatically.

Automatic Payments

This card shows every billing account you have (grouped by property, and by unit within a property) and its automatic payment status:

  • Active: autopay is set up and will charge automatically when each invoice is due. You'll see the card on file, the date of your last automatic payment, and the date of your next expected charge.

  • Pending verification: you've started setting up autopay but it isn't active yet. Follow the on-screen instructions (typically a bank verification step) to finish, or select Cancel if you no longer want it.

  • Not enrolled: no automatic payment is set up for this account. Select Set up autopay to add a card.

Autopay in the portal is card-based. To turn off an active autopay enrollment, use Manage > Cancel autopay on that account's row; you'll be asked to confirm before it's turned off.

The counter at the top of this card ("X of Y enrolled") gives you a quick summary if you have several billing accounts across different units or properties.

Create Full Account

If you're currently accessing the portal through an invite (rather than a full URBI account), you'll see an upgrade prompt inviting you to create a full account for persistent login and mobile app access. This feature isn't available yet. If you select it, the portal will let you know it's coming soon. In the meantime, your one-time-code sign-in continues to work exactly as described in Signing in to your resident portal.

Signing out

Use the Sign Out button at the bottom of the Profile tab any time you want to end your session immediately, for example on a shared or public computer, rather than waiting for it to expire on its own.

What this means for you

Your Profile tab is a quick way to confirm the portal has the right person, the right email, and the right units before you go looking at charges or invoices elsewhere in the portal. Keeping your contact information accurate with your property matters because:

  • Receipts and payment confirmations go to the email on file. If it's wrong or outdated, you may miss records you need later.

  • Charge and invoice notices (including due dates and approval requests) go to that same email.

  • Shared invoices from co-residents are matched to you by your email address, so an out-of-date email means you might not receive something a neighbor or co-owner intended for you.

FAQ

How do I change my name or email on the portal? Contact your property's management team, or hello@myurbi.co, and ask them to update your contact information. There's no self-service edit inside the portal yet.

Can I add a profile photo? Not from within the portal directly. If your property or URBI account already has a photo on file elsewhere, it will show up here automatically.

What does the "enrolled" count on Automatic Payments include? It counts every billing account tied to your login where autopay is currently active, out of the total number of billing accounts you have.

I set up autopay but it still shows "Pending verification." What do I do? Follow the verification steps shown on that row (usually confirming small amounts or a code from your bank). If you'd rather not finish, select Cancel to remove the pending setup and start over later.

What happens if I select Sign Out? Your current session ends immediately. You'll need a fresh one-time code the next time you want to access the portal, exactly like a session that expired naturally.
