This article explains how to use the menu at the bottom of the URBI app, open quick actions, and understand when the menu gets out of your way.
Who this is for: Residents signed in to the URBI app.
The main menu is the rounded bar that floats above the bottom of your screen. Tap a tab to move to that part of the app. The highlight slides to the tab you selected.
Depending on what your building offers, the menu can include:
Home, Messages, and Profile are always part of the menu. Amenities and Market appear only when your building offers them in URBI.
On most screen sizes, the selected tab shows its name. When all five tabs are present, the name replaces the selected tab's icon. On a narrow screen, the app may show only icons so everything fits.
A small count on Messages shows how many unread conversations you have. If there are more than 99, the count shows 99+.
The count fades from view while you are on Messages. It appears again when you leave Messages and still have unread conversations.
If an action is available, a round gold plus button appears to the right of the menu. Tap it to see the things you can start right away, such as a message, booking, or parking activation.
The available choices depend on your building and what you can use. If there are no available quick actions, the gold button does not appear and the menu recentres itself.
See How to use quick actions from the plus button for each choice.
The menu hides when it would cover something you are using. This can happen:
Finish or close what you are viewing to return to the main navigation.
The app changes its menu to match your building and your access. See Why can't I see something in the menu? for every common reason.
