How to Edit Your Profile

Use the "My Profile" screen to update your name, photo, contact details, and address. Open it by tapping the header card on the Profile tab, see "Overview: Your Profile."

Who can use it: All residents using the URBI mobile app.

1. Open My Profile and start editing

Tap the header card on the Profile tab to open "My Profile." Fields are greyed out and disabled by default. Tap Edit in the top right to unlock the fields for editing.

When you tap Save, the button shows a spinner while your changes are submitted.

2. Change your photo

There are two ways to update your profile photo:

• From the Profile tab (no edit mode needed): long-press your avatar in the header card. This opens your photo library directly and immediately uploads and saves the new photo.

• From the My Profile screen (edit mode): once in Edit mode, your avatar shows a camera badge overlay with the hint "Tap to change photo." Tapping it shows an alert titled "Update Profile Picture", "Choose an option", with three options: Camera, Photo Library, and Cancel.

If URBI doesn't have permission to access your camera or photos, you'll see an alert: "Permission needed", "Please grant camera roll permissions to update your profile picture." (or the camera equivalent). Grant the permission in your phone's Settings and try again.

If you upload a new photo while editing other fields, the photo is uploaded first, then the rest of your profile is saved when you tap Save.

3. Update your fields

• First Name / Last Name, required. Leaving either blank shows an inline error ("First name is required" / "Last name is required") and, on Save, an alert: "Missing required fields", "Please fix the highlighted fields before saving."

• Email Address, always read-only, even in edit mode. Tapping it shows an alert: "Unable to Edit Email", "To change your email address, please contact your building administrator."

• Phone Number, auto-formats as you type, e.g. (555) 123-4567 or +1 (xxx) xxx-xxxx.

• Primary Address and City, free text fields.

• Country, a picker (Canada / United States). The Province/State picker label changes based on the country you select, and the Postal/ZIP code field auto-formats to match (e.g. A1A 1A1 for Canada, 12345 for the United States).

4. Save your changes

Tap Save. URBI checks that required fields are filled in, uploads any pending photo, then saves your profile.

• Success: an alert titled "Success", "Profile updated successfully!"

• Failure: an alert titled "Error", "Failed to update profile. Please try again."
