Your notification toggles (Email, SMS, Mobility Assistance, Push) live on the My Profile screen and save instantly. How each works and what to do if one fails or push is blocked.

Your notification preferences live on the "My Profile" screen, below your profile fields. Unlike your profile fields, these toggles save instantly, there's no separate Save button.
Who can use it: All residents using the URBI mobile app.
Email Communications, "Receive updates via email"
SMS Notifications, "Receive urgent SMS alerts (emergencies only)"
Mobility Assistance, "Enable accessibility features"
Tap a toggle to turn it on or off. It saves immediately.
The preference toggles on My Profile:
Email Communications | |
SMS Notifications | |
Mobility Assistance |
The toggle switches back to its previous state (an optimistic update that reverts on failure), and you'll see: "Couldn't save preference", "Please check your connection and try again."
If you're signed out, you'll instead see: "Not signed in", "Please sign in to update preferences."
The Push Notifications toggle appears on both the My Profile screen and the Settings screen (see "Settings, Help and Support"). It has four states:
On (green), push notifications are enabled.
Updating… (grey), shown briefly while your change is being processed.
Off (grey), push notifications are disabled.
Blocked in iOS Settings (red), iOS itself has blocked notifications for URBI. Tapping this state opens your phone's Settings app so you can re-enable them.
The four Push Notifications states:
On | ON |
Updating… | UPDATING… |
Off | OFF |
Blocked in iOS Settings | BLOCKED, TAP TO OPEN SETTINGS |
If push notifications get stuck or fail to save, you may see a toast error at the bottom of the screen. See "FAQ: Your Profile" for how to fix a blocked state.
