Banking and Reconciliation connects your property's operating bank account to URBI so you can match transactions to expenses and Stripe settlements, set up rules to handle recurring items automatically, and lock off completed statement periods with a formal reconciliation.
Access is controlled per user and per property. A property manager (PM) sets each team member's level in the property's user settings. There are two separate controls:
Board members with GL view access can see the banking feed and reconciliation records in read-only mode.
Go to Accounting, then open the General Ledger page and click the Reconciliation link. It takes you straight to the full reconciliation workspace at /accounting/reconciliation.
Bank account connections are managed from a separate card on the Property Settings page, under Accounting.
A bank line can be matched to either a recorded expense or a posted journal entry (GL entry). The system checks both automatically. You do not need to pick which type to look for.
When a posted journal entry moves cash through a GL account that is linked to a bank account, the system matches it to the corresponding bank line by amount and date (within a 7-day window). This happens automatically when you open the Bank lines tab and when journal entries are posted.
Once a bank line is matched, it moves through two stages:
| State | What it means | How it happens |
|---|---|---|
| Cleared to bank (green) | The bank line has been matched to an expense or GL entry. The amounts agree. | Automatic, as soon as a match is found. |
| Reconciled (gold) | The matched line has been included in a locked statement reconciliation. | Happens when you lock a reconciliation period (see How to Reconcile a Statement). |
"Cleared to bank" means the transaction is accounted for. "Reconciled" means it has been formally confirmed as part of a closed statement period. Both states are visible on the bank line row.
