Reallocation lets you move surplus budget from one group or account to another during the year -- without changing the amounts you originally entered. Your entered amounts stay the same; reallocation changes the effective (available) budget for each group or account.
You need Manage permission to reallocate. To read performance and variance instead, see How to read budget performance and variance.
If the spending doesn't fit any existing account, you can move funds into a Miscellaneous bucket instead of a named account. Follow the same steps above, and choose Miscellaneous as the destination.
All reallocations are recorded in the Allocation history panel at the bottom of the Full Budget drawer.
The reversed entry is shown with a strikethrough. The original amounts are restored to both the source and destination.
Note: Reversing a reallocation does not delete the history -- both the original and the reversal remain visible for your records.
