Use the journal-entry detail panel when you need to trace what created an entry, what it touched, and whether QuickBooks has received it.

Steps

  1. Go to Accounting > General Ledger.
  2. Click a journal entry row.
  3. In the detail panel, open Related Records.

  1. Use the grouped map to open connected records. The panel can show source documents, expenses, invoices, charges, payments, refunds, reimbursements, bank lines, approval rounds, board decisions, people, units, vendors, billing accounts, and linked journal entries.
  2. If a tile is marked Restricted, your permissions do not cover that destination. If it is marked No longer available, the reference is preserved for history but cannot be opened.
