URBI treats custom accounts (the ones you or your team created) differently from system accounts (the ones URBI seeds automatically when your property is set up):
Fields that stay locked on system accounts, always: Account type, Sub-type, and the "system account" designation itself. Only the code, name, description, parent account, and group can ever be changed on a system account, no matter who's editing it.
If you're signed in as a board member, the Chart of Accounts is view-only: you can see every account and its code, but the code field, group assignments, and every other edit control are locked. Contact your property manager if an account needs to change.
Editing does not cover removing an account from active use or deleting it outright. For that, see How to Delete or Deactivate a GL Account. Note that system accounts generally cannot be deactivated at all, since they're load-bearing for URBI's money paths.
