How to Review Drafts and Use Run Now

Generated recurring entries always post straight to the general ledger on their scheduled date. There is no draft state to review or approve, once a schedule is created, its entries appear in your GL and financial reports automatically as they generate.

Where to manage recurring entries

1. Open the General Ledger page, then the Recurring GL tab. This tab appears once at least one recurring schedule exists for the property, and lists every schedule with its cadence and next-run date.
2. Click New Recurring Entry from this tab to create another schedule. This opens the same Create Journal Entry modal used everywhere else, with "Make it recurring" already turned on. See How to Create a Recurring Journal Entry Schedule.
3. Each row's actions let you Run Now, Edit, Pause, Resume, or Delete that schedule.

Using Run Now

Run Now generates and posts an extra entry from a schedule right away, outside of its regular cadence, and it posts immediately just like any other generated entry. Use it when you need this period's entry a little early, or need an additional one-off posting from the same recurring entry.

1. On the Recurring GL tab, find the schedule and click Run Now from its row actions.
2. Confirm the action.

Run Now does not change the schedule's regular next-run date. Your normal cadence keeps running on schedule exactly as before.

Good to know

• Every generated entry, whether from the regular cadence or from Run Now, is a real, permanent, audit-logged journal entry the moment it posts. There is no intermediate state to review.
• If a schedule fails to generate an entry several times in a row, it pauses itself automatically. See Troubleshooting.
