Meaning: The expense is connected to a billing account credit or reimbursement credit that depends on the original expense record. Voiding it would leave the credit without the accounting record it needs.
Fix: Review the connected credit first. Reverse or resolve the credit through the correct accounting workflow, then try the expense void again if the expense still needs to be voided.
Meaning: The expense or journal entry belongs to a period that has already been closed or locked. URBI will not change closed books through a normal void.
Fix: Use the recovery path shown in the dialog. In most cases, choose the option that reverses the entry in the current open period. Only reopen and rebalance the closed period if your role allows it and your accounting process requires the change inside that original period.
| Recommended | Reverse in the current open period |
| Advanced | Reopen the period and rebalance it afterward |
Meaning: The invoice has a payment, bank settlement, applied credit, or other settled money against it. Voiding the invoice would erase a bill that money has already touched.
Fix: Review the invoice payment and application history. Refund, reverse, or otherwise resolve the settled money first. After the invoice has no settled money attached, try the void again.
