URBI's Chart of Accounts now supports full account management: create new accounts, organize them into custom groups, and edit codes, including the codes URBI sets up for you automatically (system accounts).
Every account still has a Code, Name, and Account type (Asset, Liability, Equity, Revenue, or Expense). What's new: the code can now be edited after an account is created, accounts can be nested under custom groups that appear as sub-headers on your Balance Sheet and Income Statement, and duplicate codes are checked for you before you save.
Who can use it: Staff and property managers with general ledger access can create accounts, edit accounts (including renumbering codes, once that capability is turned on for your property), and manage groups. Board members can view the entire Chart of Accounts, including every code, but cannot create, edit, or delete accounts or groups, the same read-only access board members have everywhere else in Accounting settings.
Where to find it: Go to your property's Accounting settings and open the Chart of Accounts.
See How to Create a GL Account, How to Edit a GL Account, and How to Manage Account Groups for the exact steps.
