Use drill down to understand the journal entries behind an amount. You need General Ledger permission to open ledger detail.
- Select a specific property before opening a report or budget. Drill down is not available in All Properties view.
- On an accrual basis Income Statement, Balance Sheet, or Trial Balance, select an account amount that you want to investigate.
An available account amount is visually distinct from a total.

- Review the matching account in General Ledger. Select a journal entry row to open its details.
- In Budget vs Actual, select an account or group row to open the transactions for that budget scope. Select a transaction row to open its journal entry details.
Budget detail opens beneath the selected account or group.

- To inspect the full period, select Spent or Net in Budget vs Actual. To review the full budget instead, select Total Budget or View full budget.
- Select YTD, Full year, or Month to keep the budget view and its drill down focused on the period you need.
The period selector changes the budget view.

On cash basis reports, amounts are not selectable because General Ledger is accrual only. Totals, variances, forecast figures, and comparison figures do not open transaction detail.
